Splunk Admin - Job Description
As a Splunk Admin at Techruit Solutions, the candidate has to take responsibility for troubleshooting issues related to Splunk performance and opening support cases. In short, the Splunk Admin should have the ability to clearly interact with the clients to thoroughly understand their requirements to customize and configure Splunk as per their needs. Besides, the candidate should be capable of building and maintaining engagement processes, operational processes, and documentation for Splunk.
0-2 years of experience working as a Splunk Admin or equivalent educational background is a must.
Solid understanding of administering and implementing Splunk.
Knowledge of Splunk Indexers, Forwarders, Search-Heads Setup, and other support features.
Ability to generate operations documentation to maintain the Splunk infrastructure.
Splunk Admin Certification is preferred but not mandatory.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Tasks to be Performed as a Splunk Admin
Control and monitor the Splunk infrastructure for Capacity planning.
Troubleshoot search time, log fields, field extractions, and other Splunk performance issues.
Limit access to valuable data and logs.
Generate documentation and reports to maintain the Splunk infrastructure.
Communicate with the creators and identify bad dashboards or searches to improve performance.
Engineer and implement solutions to solve business problems.
